Since its inception, Solis has continued to challenge and delight audiences, weaving together unexpected styles to present engaging and one-of-a-kind performances. Though Renaissance and contemporary works are the core of their musical identity, Solis approaches styles and genres from all over the world with the intent to entertain, surprise, and satiate audiences of all kinds. In 2019, Solis appeared on the soundtrack of the acclaimed new Safdie Brothers' film, Uncut Gems, performed alongside Jónsi and Alex Somers at the Paramount Theatre during their worldwide Riceboy Sleeps Tour, and premiered several new works and arrangements throughout their concert season at venues including Denver's Buell Theatre and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Denver, among others. This quintet brings together decades of combined experience from diverse musical backgrounds spanning everything from french horn to organ, guitar, piano, composition, and of course a common love for vocal music. The result? An expressive and versatile group whose prowess in performance is surpassed only by their infectious joy.
